From April 14 to April 17, ICCS cooperated with other units and airport customs to ensure the smooth departure of 55 tons of special cargo. The cargo was chartered by Ukrainian Antonov Airlines AN-124 and departed from Shenzhen Airport to San Francisco, USA. The successful loading of this batch of special cargo marks a new step in the support capacity of Shenzhen Airport.

On April 13, ICCS received the letter of guarantee for charter flights from Antonov Airlines, requesting assistance in guaranteeing a batch of goods for industrial production assembly lines, which are generally large in size and heavy in weight. The largest one is 4.3 meters long, 4.2 meters wide and 2.5 meters high, with an installed weight of 6.6 tons, and the cargo contain more precision equipment, which further increases the difficulty of guarantee. In order to do a good job in this special cargo support task, ICCS actively communicated with the airport customs, airlines, forwarders and relevant units, formulated detailed and thorough support procedures and plans, and deployed personnel, vehicles and other equipment in advance to ensure the safe, standardized, smooth and efficient cargo operation process.

At 16:20 on April 14th, 40 special cargo arrived and operators directed the goods to be received, transported and loaded according to the established plan. Two pieces of cargo can't enter ICCS through the gate of the customs supervision area because of their oversize size. On the premise of ensuring safety, the operators put the two pieces of goods outside the control area to the aviation board for fixing by using cranes. The cargo and postal security inspection department and the aviation guard station carry out safety inspection on the goods and vehicles at Gate 3 of the flight area, and then the flight area management department leads the cargo to ICCS warehouse. With the cooperation of different units, the whole special cargo support process took less than 3 hours, and the professional and efficient support capability of Shenzhen Airport was highly praised by airlines and forwarders.

Since 2021, the demand for special cargo transportation in Shenzhen Airport has been increasing day by day, and the logistics sector has accumulated rich experience in ensuring special cargo. Next, the logistics section will focus on assisting airlines and freight forwarders in the difficult and painful problems in cargo transportation, and join hands with brother units, customs and other resident units to take multiple measures to improve their support capabilities.
