On November 14, 2024, the Shenzhen Airport Frankfurt Overseas Cargo Terminal was officially inaugurated, marking a significant achievement in the collaboration between ICCS and Time Matters, a subsidiary of Lufthansa Cargo, in the development of overseas cargo facilities. Representatives from Shenzhen Airport Group Co., Ltd., Lufthansa Cargo AG, Time Matters Cargo Terminal GmbH, and ICCS gathered in Frankfurt to witness the unveiling ceremony and the signing of a friendly cooperation agreement. The collaboration has received high attention and active support from all parties involved.

Both ICCS and the airport where Lufthansa Cargo's headquarters (Time Matters Cargo Terminal) is located are critical international hub airports in their respective regions. Entering the 21st century, the global aviation industry faces both opportunities and challenges. China's strategic deployment of building an "Air Silk Road" has created a rare opportunity for cooperation between these two airports.

The two sides will work together to increase the frequency of cargo flights between the two regions, conduct multi-dimensional collaborative marketing efforts, actively explore and promote overseas cargo terminal cooperation, and jointly extend the upstream and downstream industrial chains, among other practical collaborations. Additionally, they will deepen cooperation in areas such as logistics facility planning and construction, shaping port business environments, safety service management, operational management mechanisms, and the development of smart logistics systems.

This collaboration represents another importantmilestone in the partnership between ICCS and Lufthansa Cargo. Since the successful launch of Lufthansa Cargo's "Shenzhen-Frankfurt" route in July this year, cooperation in the air cargo sector has continued to deepen, integrating the logistics advantages of the two major international hubs to serve the growing e-commerce sector, particularly in the European market. The stable operation of the route has provided a convenient channel for cargo transportation between the two regions and laid a solid foundation for the overseas cargo terminal cooperation. With the inauguration of the overseas cargo terminal, the collaboration will enter a new phase, achieving comprehensive synergistic development from route transportation to logistics facility construction.

At the signing ceremony in Frankfurt, Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo, emphasized that ICCS has consistently provided high-quality cargo handling services over the past 20 years, and this forward-looking collaboration is of great significance for advancing global business. Bernhard zur Strassen, CEO of Time Matters, also noted that his company and the International Cargo Terminal complement each other in cargo handling services and innovative drive, creating a mutually beneficial partnership that will solidify and strengthen global growth paths.

ICCS will collaborate with Time Matters to fully promote the seamless connection and efficient operation of the air cargo chain between Shenzhen and Frankfurt, committed to building a comprehensive, personalized value-added service system for airlines and logistics enterprises. By optimizing processes, integrating resources, and innovating service models, they will ensure more efficient and convenient cargo transportation, superior service quality, and contribute to the vigorous development of the air logistics industry in both regions.
