In order to further strengthen the awareness of front-line operators in working at heights and improve the level of on-site safety management, recently, ICCS in conjunction with Guangdong Safety Production Technology Center, conducted a nine-day special training on prevention of work-related injuries in working at heights for front-line employees and operation management personnel, including porters, coordinators and warehouse managers. ICCS is the first company in Shenzhen Airport to organize all personnel (including outsources) involved in breaking down and building up, and to receive training on safety knowledge and practical operation of working at heights from professional institutions. This training specially invited experts from Shenzhen Working at Heights expert database as lecturers.
Height work is defined as work carried out from a height of 2m or above the datum level of fall where there is a risk of falling. In recent years, with the increasing complexity of cargo operations and the particularity of security, safety and standardization of high altitude operations are of Paramount importance. In order to improve the effectiveness of the training, this training adopts the way of three days of theoretical knowledge explanation and six days of on-site practical operation. Based on the characteristics of the post, focusing on safety responsibilities, systematically helping the students to master effective operational skills and management ability.
In the class, the lecturer combined with specific cases, respectively from the overview of high work, occupational particularity, protective equipment, site operation safety management and accident prevention and emergency treatment, etc. In the on-site teaching, the lecturer starts from the actual operation process, focuses on explaining the safety preparation and precautions in the operation of plate breaking and plate dismantling, and discusses with the students the identification of safety risks, the way of preventive measures and the technology of on-site first aid, so as to further strengthen the students' knowledge.
After the training, 419 people passed the examination of theoretical knowledge and practical operation skills, and successfully obtained the certificate of Work-related Injury Training for High Altitude issued by Guangdong Safety Production Technology Center, with a passing rate of 94.7%. The students said that the content of this training course is highly targeted and practical, which not only improves their own security awareness, but also enhances the security cooperation ability of the team. In the future, they will continue to optimize their professional skills and strive to transform the learning results into the source power to promote the development of the company.
Next, combined with the "Safe Production Month", ICCS will replace a batch of new safety helmets, safety belts, labor protection shoes and other labor protection supplies, improve the safety protection equipment of front-line personnel, continue to standardize the safety operation of personnel, improve the level of safety management, strengthen the inspection of job responsibilities, build a strong safety line, with professional and efficient team service ability, improve the efficiency of cargo security, and promote the development of high-quality air cargo in Shenzhen.
