International Air Transport Association Convened the 12th Meeting of China e-Cargo Working Group

On April 24, the 12th meeting of China e-cargo working group which is organized by International Air Transport Association (IATA), and co-organized by International Cargo Centre Shenzhen (ICCS) was convened at ICCS. Mrs. Lindsey Niu, Regional Cargo Manager of Airport, Passenger, Cargo and Security, North Asia of IATA hosted the meeting. Customs, Shenzhen Airport Information Center, Shenzhen Airport Security Inspection Department, Shenzhen Wukong Network Technology, EVA Air, Air China Cargo, China Air and other airlines and forwarders were invited to participate in the event. The meeting has two themes. One is promoting the development of e-Freight and e-AWB in Chinese airport, which is taking Shenzhen as representative but except Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. The other is discussing problems and solutions during the promotion of e-Freight and e-AWB.

 

The meeting started at 9:30. Mr. Hou Kan, Director of Airport, Passenger, Cargo and Security, North Asia of IATA, and Mr. Achim Pluecker, General Manager of ICCS made opening speeches. Mrs. Lindsey Niu introduced the e-Freight, e-AWB, freight streamlining business programs and IATA¡¯s implementation and promotion plan in 2018. ICCS explained the cargo operation process of Shenzhen airport. Customs, China Air, Air China Cargo, China Southern, China Eastern and Hainan Airlines shared information about e-AWB and had a discussion. At 16:00, the meeting was successfully concluded. It has great significance to promote high quality development of e-Freight and e-AWB projects in Shenzhen airport. As an active participant in this event, ICCS is honored to take part in it.
